I read with interest the discussion about the shared cost new fence (“Town mends fence with Signature Pointe after split vote”, Aug. 12) on the east side of the Signature Pointe Development. The original fence was installed by the town and consisted of wooden bollards inter-connected by a steel cable which in several cases had been damaged by Cornfest amusement contractors backing into it. Thus, with Signature Pointe paying half, Town of Taber is now in fact recovering half of the replacement cost of a rundown fence that could have been replaced several years ago, and will now be more practical and attractive.
Time passes and positive change it brings! On ward and a pat on the back to those councillors who voted for positive change!
