Taber times opinion “Cemetery bench”
Yes, I can somewhat imagine that some persons, who sort of close their mind on the gruesome abortion issue, feel uncomfortable sitting on a bench with the inscription honouring life.
Especially in a memorial garden, remembering all those who went before them, memories of real people who were all given an opportunity to live their lives experiences, through mountaintop and valleys, until the day of their death.
There could have been more memorial sites in this garden, for those whose opportunity to live was denied before birth. So I would hope that we can all respect this peaceful garden, and sit on this bench and contemplate the joys and sorrows, what was and what could have been. Hopefully, the joys will float to the top, as cream on your milk.
