Criticism of Catholic system misses the mark

As I am working a night shift I picked up the Taber Times to see what was new in town.

I have to say that I was a bit disrupted to see the latest criticism of the Catholic Church and it’s School System on the front page.

I do not believe that it is in any way rocket science to know that the Catholic system most likely will not be involved in establishing gay-straight alliances.

I have never been to a Catholic service that has preached hell fire and brimstone for sexual deviances, and in my experience the Catholic system has proven to be the most forgiving and non-judgmental.

My child has entered the Catholic Junior High in Lethbridge, and we have so far experienced reproductive system education; which I hope and pray is a far cry from putting condoms on bananas.

My point is that intercourse is not something that is commonly discussed by or in the Catholic System, and I feel that asking the trustees and teachers for comments is a useless and unneeded goat.

I feel I am safe to say that modesty on every level is a belief of the Catholic system, there are times when it is better to say nothing; but I do not believe that anyone in the Catholic System is living in fear of response, they are just being respectful and respect should be mutual.
