Seven Vipers earned top times in their respective age category at the Pincher Creek Dolphins meet.

“This week we made a lot of technical changes on swimmers’ strokes and it looked so amazing,” said Teri Cook, head coach of the Taber Viper Swim Club. “You have to change technique and then work on getting faster later. Swimmers were focusing on doing their stroke right and were still able to take a little bit of time off.”

The Vipers were able to win six aggregate medals which included Mikayla Kress (bronze, six-and-under girls), Adison Hutzul (gold, eight-and-under girls), Darci Wright (gold, 12-and-under girls), Morgan Bos (bronze, 13-and-14-year-old girls), Chance Cook (gold, 13-and-14-year-old boys) and Dana Poole (silver, 18-and-over boys).

The impressive finishes by the Vipers earned the club second overall in net points.

“Everyone’s attitude heading into the meet was great, everyone tried really hard wanting to lead up to a good showing at our home meet this weekend,” said Cook.
