Locals medal at nationals

Five locals were in the National Taekwon-Do Championships earlier this month in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The following are the results:

Nathan Veenstra: bronze in blue stripe patterns; bronze in sparring.

Jocelyn Planger: gold in blue belt patterns; gold in sparring.

Gracie Holowiski: bronze in red belt patterns; gold in sparring.

Jenna Klok: silver in red belt patterns; silver in sparring.

Torrance Gedny: gold in red belt patterns; gold in sparring.

Instructor Brandi Miyanaga was also selected as a coach for Team Canada in which she helped select black belt athletes from across Canada to represent the nation in Italy in May, 2015.
