On October 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31, Town of Vauxhall employees will host a ‘Witches Woods’ event from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vauxhall Meeting Room, located at 417 4 St. N.
“The purpose of the event is a positive way to contribute to our community for a fun family event that has never been done before and support a local non-profit organization at the same time,” said Mindy Dunphy, assistant chief administrative officer for the Town of Vauxhall.
The event, Dunphy says, is open to all ages, but entry to the event is a $2 donation and a ‘fright factor’ so attendance is subject to parental discretion.
Proceeds from the event, Dunphy says, will go to the Vauxhall Public Library.
“The event was planned by Administration staff who have spent many volunteer hours building props, and along with some of the rest of staff we are excited to bring this to our community,” said Dunphy. “Community events can happen for several reasons. This one is to help support our Vauxhall Public Library, Whatever the reason for any community event, we want everyone to have a laugh, even a fright and have a great time!”
