A new ten-business complex is in the works on the Highway 3 service road on the town’s east side. Mayor Andrew Prokop said that a Toronto-based outfit is coordinating the project and three businesses–a No Frills, a Shoppers Drug Mart, and a Dollar Store–already have spots earmarked in the new location. The other seven have yet to be determined. Four other businesses are expected to replace the vape shop location, and another four small businesses near the Tim Hortons should be popping up as well. In total, the town will have room for 18 more businesses that can contribute to the economy. Kubota is moving and their lot will be utilized for parking. Three different groups–from Toronto, Calgary, and one local–will be responsible for the three developments. The two smaller locations have yet to begin work on their respective sites, but the ten-unit complex is well on its way.
