Where will country be without God?

I am 63 years old. All the years I attended school, we stood and came into the presence of God with ‘The Lord’s Prayer.’

“Our Father who art in Heaven

Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come

Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven

Give us this day, our daily bread…”

And he has. As a country, we honoured him every morning and He has blessed us with a great and awesome country. That is why we, as well as people from all over the world, love this great nation of Canada.

And our national anthem:

“Oh Canada, the True North strong and free

God keep our land, glorious and free

Oh Canada, we stood (sic) on guard for thee

And God has kept our land glorious and free. But are we standing on guard? Do we stand on guard to preserve the great land that we have? Do we stand up for what we believe  and what we have stood for all these centuries?

We are taking God out of the equation. The one who made our country what it is because we honoured Him.

Without God, it won’t last. What does the future hold for our children and grandchildren  in this land we call ‘Our Canada, Our Home’?
